2/7/16: Today the members of our Order from the Lazio and Campania Delegations joined with hundreds of citizens of the Loyal City of Gaeta in celebrating Mass in memory of the thousands of victims of the siege of Gaeta in 1861 by Piedmontese forces. The Flag of the Two Sicllies was raised over the fortress from which it had been pulled down this day in 1861. Many officers who died in the siege were members of our Order. Through the efforts of the Order, their remains were buried in the Cathedral of Gaeta in a section devoted to Constantinian victims; heroes who remained faithful to their nation and king.
