8/24/16. His Royal Highness, Prince Carlo di Borbone of the Two Sicilies has issued an immediate statement of sympathy to the families of the deceased and support for the victims. The Constantinian Order is reviewing ways in which relief and support can best be provided to the region affected.
"La Real Casa di Borbone Due Sicilie è vicina alla popolazioni colpite dal terribile terremoto della notte del 24 agosto nei territori dell'Italia centrale e in gran parte, tra Amatrice e Accumuli."
[The Royal House of Bourbon Two Sicilies is with the people affected by the terrible earthquake which struck during the night of the 24th August in the Italian central region, most particularly between Amatrice and Accumuli.]
The US Delegation has received confirmed reports of loss of life and many injuries in the overnight earthquake centered in Norcia, and the loyal Bourbon towns of Amatrice and Accumoli. Early reports suggest that the hallowed fortress of Civitella del Tronto has not suffered damage. Our Delegate, HE John M Viola, who was in the Abruzzo, is safe.
The US Delegation will be reviewing ways in which we can participate effectively in aiding our brothers and sisters in this most faithful region of the Two Sicilies.
We ask our members and all concerned about this tragedy to join HRH and the Royal Family, our Delegate and our Prior, His Eminence, Theodore Cardinal McCarrick in praying for all in the aftermath of this tragedy.
