10/21/16: Feast of Blessed Emperor Karl of Austria, Apostolic King of Hungary. The Day was chosen by St. Pope John Paul II at the time of the Beatification not to coincide with the birthday or death day of the Emperor, but to be the day of the marriage of Emperor Karl and the Venerable Princess Zita of Borbone-Parma - a union that personifies love and enduring commitment in a relationship and the sharing of that love for all time with all peoples and in public service to humanity.
Our Delegation will offer a Mass today to the memory of the Emperor. Our Chaplain, Cav, Rev. Monsignor Joseph Ambrosio will celebrate a Liturgy of Blessed Karl at 7 PM tonight at the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Oliver Street, Newark, NJ.
